Coming Unglued
Cyanoacrylate, our friend. Our super friend in its superglue role. Now most of us are familiar with superglue in some form, and it is truly useful. And a little, um, awe-inspiring for its firm and fast grip. That’s perhaps why it is often sold in tiny tubes: People tend to only use it when absolutely necessary, and the bigger tubes often dry out, i.e., solidify before one gets a second use out of them. So, the tiny tubes are basically single-use items. That’s for

A Credible Threat
Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. - Mao Zedong Following a mass shooting during a parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win on Valentine’s Day, gun control is once again in the news and remains an unsettled issue, and I suspect it will persist as such for a long time. Citizens of the United States are citizens, not subjects; i.e., they are equal partners with the government in possessing authority under our constitutional system and all

Mr. Trump is expected to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Tuesday’s ruling applies only to Colorado, but if the Supreme Court were to affirm it, he could be disqualified more broadly.

Christmas thought on 'experiencing homelessness'
What about homelessness and the explosion thereof in the recent decades? Yes, it predates Trump. Contemporary mention, and the beginnings of the stoplight beggars, came in the late 1970’s when the economy was suffering double digit inflation and became a staple news item during the early 1980s. One thing you see mentioned often is the change in hospitalization/confinement protocols for the seriously mentally ill, but that doesn’t even begin to address the large numbers of hom
