And What If?

Observing developments in the U.S. political arena is disheartening. While the Trump camp carries on, it’s increasingly apparent that the powers that be will stop at nothing to prevent him from occupying the White House again. Now, with seemingly insurmountable legal problems barring the way, I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody takes a shot at him if he persists. One way or another, “they” intend to dominate the coming election.

If they take Trump out before the election, what happens? Possibly, we’d get DeSantis back in, but could he win? Maybe we’d have a majority in the House or Senate, maybe.

Should Nikki Haley become the replacement, I could imagine a very apathetic electorate, on both sides, giving the Left the win.

The New Republic just published an article outlining four possible election outcomes with Trump. It’s a leftist perspective, but at least they seem to think he’ll still be on the ballot.

But whether he weathers the tempest of voter suppression the Left is orchestrating against him, and us, or not, it may be nearly impossible for him to win.

So what if the Left takes the 2024 election?

It matters little if their final candidate is Bumbling Joe, Michele, Kamala, or Governor Hairdo, as they’re all singing from the same book. And the complacency will persist that allows life to continue apace even as the Democrats’ adumbration of their preferences becomes more sharply defined. Denial permits many to tune out the political, especially when the political is distressing, ignoring the thousand tiny paper cuts—until they can’t.

But we’ll still be here, unswayed by their prattle. And they’ll know it. They’ll likely double down on their efforts to mitigate, if not abrogate, the freedom of speech recognized by our Bill of Rights. Look for an amplified ration of disinformation from the elites, with efforts to heighten division within the populace.

What, then, to do? As long as Bumbling Joe, or his successor, doesn’t turn the nascent WWIII hot, it’s not necessarily time to pack up and head to Costa Rica or wherever your preferred elsewhere is. No, we’ll not be gone, and there are enough of us that perhaps we’ll be able to forestall the implementation of the final, lethal, “paper cuts.”

We'll continue on to the next round, assuming we still have our constitutional republic. There’s so much at play that it’s almost overwhelming to capture it all. Suffice it to say for now that, should the Left assume the Presidency in 2025, all is not lost; the struggle continues.
